O Povoa de Varzim City Park It is a public urban park in the city Póvoa. It is located in a plain old, where there were a small stream, crop fields and some farms, wherein the modulation of the ground originated the creation of hills, a lake, Puddles, an island and paths. There were thus constructed small bridges, squares and buildings within the space. It should be noted also that the park includes the Municipal Stadium of Povoa de Varzim.

The park was designed by Sidónio Sparrow, Portuguese reputed landscape architect, and has an area stretching from the A28 motorway to the quarry pond. It began to be planned in 1997.
